The Elephant ManOur pastor recently mentioned this story in a sermon. According to him, despite John Merrick's outward appearance, he was a man of prayer.
The story is heartbreaking and amazing. How many times do you or your wife stop a movie with tears in your eyes to exclaim, "This is a REALLY good movie!"?
I would own it except that I don't know how many times I could bear to watch it again.
If you have not seen this movie in a while (made in 1980) - I would highly recommend that you check it out.
