From an e-mail we received yesterday:
On a different note, your little prayer warrior has taken things to a new level. Kathryn's prayer last night was very different than her usual bedtime routine. She didn't sound like a wide-eyed 7 year-old who believes that the mere utterance of her prayers ensured that God would grant them to her liking; she sounded a little desperate. Maybe even irritated:
"Dear God, please keep the bubble around the hole in Annabelle's back. I REALLY want her to walk. PLEASE...." Then, instead of "Amen" at the end, she uttered an all too familiar frustrated whisper she inherited from me (like when I'm running late and can't find my car keys): "COME ON!"
That little girl has way more guts than I do. She actually prays her un-edited frustration.
Yes. "COME ON!" indeed . . .
