We watched a movie the other night called Ushpizin.
It is about a Jewish couple living in present-day Jerusalem that have decided to become "religious".
As the religious holiday celebrating the Exodus approaches, Moshe and Mali find themselves too poor to aquire the necessary items to observe the holiday properly. Caught between an intense desire to observe the holy day and their intense poverty, Moshe and Mali pray for a miracle.
The movie is in hebrew with english subtitles and provides a window into Jewish orthodoxy that I found fascinating.
Highly recommended.
