Drinkin' Wiiiiine in the Alley . . . .

I have done some wine tasting in Napa more than once. I love the fancy-schmancy of the locations so long as it is paired with down-to-earth sommaliers.

I have also been wine tasting in the Temecula Valley more than once - fancy-schmancy is not usually on the menu but I love it all the same because you get the sense that these are hard-working middle-class folks.

And then there is wine tasting in Julian. Strictly mom and pop. Heck, you are happy if they have their pants ON let alone "schmancy". We are talking boot-leg wineries here . . . This is a photo of the outside of one of the tasting rooms in Julian (one of the nicer ones) and I love it.
