Falls

Being a beach person, I enjoy hiking with certain preconditions . . . I prefer to hike in a forest with towering trees as opposed to the pseudo desert hiking through scrub oaks here in San Diego. I also prefer there to be water of some sort as well - a stream, a river, a pool, a waterfall. Big trees and water. If it is hot, I prefer enough water to swim in.

Neatorama pointed to a blog listing the top 10 waterfalls in America.

I actually lived about 20 minutes from Snoqualmie Falls for a time and about 5 minutes from Shoshone Falls for a while as well.

Thanks to friends who got married in Big Sur, I have also seen McWay Falls (although we didn't have time to run down and stand under it).

So 3 out of 10 isn't too bad . . . the others look fantastic though . . .

multonomah falls is about an hour or 2 from tri-cities on the way to portland. I've passed by it probably 20 times. It's definitely one you should see, very beautiful. I want to see all of these! New goal =)
