You can't let praise or criticism get to you. It's a weakness to get caught up in either one.
amen...we often make the mistake of "accepting" praise and letting criticism get us down, when neither are about us at all, but rather where the communicator is coming from at the time, how the person communicating feels about us or perceives us, and more truly how the communicator feels about himself!...the compliments and criticisms may or may not be true, we are the only judge of that, and it IS a weakness to let either sway our emotions, to allow either to affect TRUTH...i get both praised and criticized often...to either, i can only truly say "thank you for sharing how you are feeling" and let others' comments to me, about me, serve as insight into who, where and how THEY are!
that's a quote that truly inspires introspection and awareness...
